I have a hard to fit foot (4E) and its hard to find shoes I can wear and was always forced to buy New balance. I bought a pair of these because of the great luck Ive had with Clark shoes and I love them and they will out last New Balance by 2 to 3 times! My biggest disappointment in NB is how quickly the sole or cushion breaks down this is wear the Clarks really shine for me. Ive found nothing that fits as good as a Clark shoe I now own 12+ pair and like them all especially my unstructured un. coil shoes (best shoes Ive ever owned by a mile. You cant be disappointed in these shoes! My wife has also switched over to Clarks and loves them just as much as i do. Another good shoe is Sketchers for sneakers which is much better than NB also. Im done with NB.... Clarks are not just shoes you have; they are shoes you love. By that standard this model falls short. The inside materials are wonderful to the touch but theres very little arch support. Also the vents in the sole allow the smallest puddle to soak your socks. If you plan to be on your feet a lot or walk long distances in these shoes they seem to be a poor choice. I only wear them now when Im going to be at my desk all day. Bought a black pair (the un. ravel) for $140 3 years ago in a mall... knew I would as soon as I tried them on. They are outstanding shoes and the longer I owned them the more I liked em. It then struck me that one day they would surely wear out... maybe. So i went on an internet search. Not only did I find them (shipped out of Peltz Shoes in Clearwater FL) but for less than $100 including shipping... received in Indiana in like 4 days. Wear em with jeans or a suit and if youre one of those old style guys that actually polish your shoes now and then... they look like new in about two minutes for years. I know. And now I have a backup pair... whew! If youre on the fence take my word for it... own em. After reading countless reviews on and other sites I decided to take the plunge and order my first pair of Clarks without ever having seen them or tried them on. So far I couldnt be happier. This is the first shoe Ive ever tried that feels just as comfortable at the end of the day as at the beginning. They dont feel spongy or overpadded which is what my previous definition of a comfortable shoe would have been. You simply forget about your feet when you wear these. I can honestly say Ive never had shoes like them. Ive only owned them a month or so but I would say their construction feels very solid. While I wear a size 10. 5 or 11 (US) in most other shoes I measured my foot and followed the sizing guidelines which resulted in me ordering a size 10. The size 10 still left me a generous amount of toeroom. I love everything about these shoes. If i had to reach for a negative it would be that the narrow channels in the rubber sole tend to trap rocks in them - a small price for this much comfort.

I wanted a dressier shoe that was a bit more rugged in the sole, so these fit the bill. The leather is comfortable and the shoes fit my feet well. The overall quality and design are spot on.
